A glimpse at your trip
This trip is brought to you by Lallies Landings & is curated for Solo in Style members
May is one of the loveliest times to experience Ireland. The countryside is bright with new growth, gardens are alive with colour, and the longer evenings invite slow conversations over coffee, a walk through a village square, or a drink in a local bar.
This journey is designed to offer a gentle introduction to Irish life. Along the way you will explore ancient landscapes shaped thousands of years ago, spend time in small towns where local cafés and independent shops set the pace of daily life, and experience the warmth of true Irish hospitality.
There are moments of history and culture woven throughout the days. You may find yourself standing inside a Neolithic passage tomb older than the pyramids, enjoying a whiskey tasting at Middleton Distillery, walking the Georgian streets of Dublin or pausing for afternoon tea in the city before wandering its bookshops and galleries.
One of the most personal moments of the journey takes place at Lallies Landings, Maura's family farm near Trim. Here you are welcomed into the home place for a relaxed lunch and the chance to experience a side of Irish life that most visitors never see.
Later in the journey we spend time along Ireland's southeastern coast, where sea air, quiet beaches, and historic towns create a slower rhythm for the final days. From this coastal base we explore the Hook Peninsula, visit Kilkenny's castle and artisan workshops, and enjoy evenings of traditional music and good food shared together.
Our final evening brings everyone together around one table for a farewell dinner, a chance to savour the places visited and the stories shared along the way.

After arriving in Dublin, we travel a short distance into the calm countryside of County Kildare.
Your home for the next four nights is a peaceful canal-side retreat made up of restored village houses and historic mill buildings. It is a quiet place to arrive, settle in, and catch your breath after the journey.
Later in the evening we gather for our first dinner together, a relaxed introduction to the days ahead and to the company you will share them with.

Today is intentionally unhurried.
You may choose to visit Castletown House, one of Ireland’s finest Palladian estates, where grand rooms and landscaped grounds tell the story of 18th century Ireland. Time at the sumptuous spa or a canal-side cycle may also entice you.
Others may prefer a slower day. A wander through nearby antique and heritage shops offers small discoveries and local character.
Dinner this evening is in a nearby restaurant known for its warm atmosphere and seasonal cooking.

This morning brings us deep into Ireland’s early story.
At Newgrange, older than the pyramids of Egypt, a narrow passage leads into a chamber built more than five thousand years ago.
Nearby Tara Hill carries another layer of history. It was once the ceremonial seat of the High Kings of Ireland and remains one of the most symbolic landscapes in the country.
In the evening we gather for a traditional night of music and laughter. It is a lively reminder that Irish culture is as much about sharing a moment as it is about history.

Today we visit Lallies Landings, Maura’s family farm outside Trim.
Lunch is simple and generous, built around local produce and the rhythm of farm life. There is time to meet the animals and enjoy the slower pace of the countryside while enjoying an exhibition from one of or local artists and some live traditional Irish music.
Nearby stands Trim Castle, the largest Norman fortress in Ireland and instantly recognisable to many visitors from the film Braveheart.
In the evening we return to Kildare for a memorable dinner together, closing our first chapter in the Irish countryside.

This morning we travel to Dublin, starting with a tour of the EPIC museum which reveals Irelands history in a totally unique way!
You may explore Trinity College and the famous Book of Kells, visit the National Gallery, or simply wander through the lively streets around Grafton Street and St Stephen’s Green. Our Dublin tour will finish on a high note, with afternoon tea in one of the city’s most renowned hotels
Later in the afternoon we begin our journey south to County Wexford, where the second half of the trip unfolds.

You wake today in a beautiful Georgian country house surrounded by woodland and close to the sea.
The Hook Peninsula reveals a very different side of Ireland. Long quiet beaches, open coastal views, and the remarkable Hook Head Lighthouse which has guided sailors for centuries.
Dinner this evening is back at the house, where the atmosphere is relaxed and the setting feels far removed from the pace of everyday life.

Kilkenny is a city where medieval streets meet modern creativity.
We begin with a guided visit to Kilkenny Castle, whose grand rooms and gardens tell the story of centuries of Irish life.
Later we visit a family orchard where traditional cider and gin are crafted during the apple harvest season.
There is also time to wander the city’s narrow streets, browse artisan workshops, and discover handmade Irish jewellery and crafts.

Today we travel further South, taking in one of Ireland’s finest whiskey distilleries at Middleton, Co Cork. After a tipple or two, we will continue to Kinsale, a charming costal town, known as the gourmet capital of Ireland!! But it’s not just food, the town is also loved for its colourful streets, yacht filled harbour and vibrant culture!
Fresh seafood, coastal air, and the sweetness of local strawberries make this a simple but memorable experience.
Dinner is enjoyed in the village this evening, with time to soak in the relaxed rhythm of the shoreline.

This morning begins with a hands-on cookery class led by a respected Irish chef.
You will learn to prepare a selection of traditional dishes before sitting down to enjoy the results together.
The afternoon is left open to enjoy the estate. Some guests walk the woodland paths, others rest by the water or enjoy the woodland sauna.
We gather for our grand finalè, dinner served in our hotel’s private dining room, to celebrate the friendships shared moments of our journey together
Sláinte.

After breakfast we provide transport back to Dublin Airport.
For those wishing to stay longer in Ireland, we are happy to help with additional arrangements.
We hope you leave with a sense of connection to the landscapes, stories, and people that shaped your time with Lallies Landings.

I first met Maura in March 2025 on a tour in South Africa. Little did I know that a truly special friendship was about to blossom. I visited Maura and Áine in September 2025 and was absolutely spoiled! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth, laughter, and the kind of hospitality that makes you feel instantly at home. Lallie's Lott is a soulful experience. The farm is breathtaking; the food is fabulous, cooked with love, and the company is unforgettable. Maura and Áine have created something truly magical, a space where women can explore the beauty of Ireland, connect deeply, and indulge in delicious meals that nourish both body and spirit. Like all my travels, I seek cultural richness, and the people of Trim are warm and kind-hearted. I felt at home instantly. This getaway was a new adventure, a celebration of friendship, flavour, and fun. I highly recommend Lallie's Lott to anyone looking for a soulful escape filled with heart, meticulous attention to detail, exceptional hospitality, and a whole lot of flavour.
You have been invited. The tradition of farmhouse hospitality has been elevated by these two warm and wonderful women. Their mother would have been so proud. Here is the standard of food and service rarely found in such an interesting setting. The warmth of the welcome to a magnificent modern build sitting proudly over fields of crops and livestock. The Irishness of the setting is confirmed by the hens in the far yard, the home-grown vegetables on the table, and the fairy hollow. Lallies Lott is an exquisite gastronomic experience with the intimacy of a wonderful home. The food has an international flair inspired through education and travel. The ambience is homely, a fantastic evening or day out. And the food, yes, the food, the taste of the food, lingers exquisitely on the tongue and the memory.
I’ve recently had the pleasure of staying near Trim and couldn’t believe my luck. The stunning countryside, the wildlife and farm animals, the characterful local town with great cafes, restaurants and shopping, the history around every corner, the professional but genuinely welcoming hospitality shown to us by Maura & Áine and all the locals we met along the way was so heartwarming. The delicious food prepared with such thought and originality using seasonal ingredients was brilliant. The scenery, and cultural landmarks were fascinating. Lallies Landing’s combination of professional expertise, local knowledge and genuine Irish “craic” ( a good time”) makes them a stand out example of understanding what their clients want and delivering. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Lallies Landings to travellers wanting a memorable experience in every way.
